INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

“One individual may die for an idea, but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in a thousand lives.”

These lines were quoted by Subhash Chandra Bose. Keeping this in mind SR Global School(Part of Central Academy) celebrated Independence Day with pride and enthusiasm in the school premises. This year, however, things are different.  With coronavirus still raging on, our school telecasted the flag hoisting and the cultural show on online platform Students have been asked to view the proceedings live from their home.

The Principal, Ma’am Aruna Suresh was the Chief Guest of the Programme. She hoisted the National Flag sharp at 8:30 am. Then Hindi speech was delivered by Mr Satya Narayan Sir who laid emphasis on Udham Singh and his firm determination to punish General Dyer for the brutal killing in Jallianwala Bagh. Then followed the Cultural Programme in which a Patriotic Song was sung by the teachers in such a positive spirit that it turned out to be a melodious performance. A speech in English was delivered by Ma’am Suman Soni who stated that India is a country which is visited by people from all over the world as a pilgrimage centre. It was followed by a dance performance by the teachers on a high-spirited patriotic Bollywood song.

In the end, Principal Ma’am delivered a short speech. She told about the supreme sacrifices made by the great martyrs for the sake of freedom and she also made clarity about becoming Atmanirbhar in all walks of life. She also said that the freedom always come along with some duties, towards nation as well as towards the mother Earth and day ended with a plantation drive organized to fulfill our duty towards the mother Earth.  The occasion was made special by organizing a plantation drive. All the staff members showed great enthusiasm in planting the saplings which they knew would recharge ground water, prevent soil erosion and purify the air.

We chanted” Bharat Mata ki Jai” with pride and happiness in our voices. Everyone left the premises of the school with smiles.

The program was organized with all the norms & precaution suggested for the pandemic.
