NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY

“Science has always been the solution to end all the problems and remain as the tool for us to achieve the Indian dream of leading the world as a superpower.”

Today 28^th Feb 2020 is celebrated as National Science Day to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian Physicist Sir C.V Raman.

 S R Global School celebrated this day with great zeal and enthusiasm and organized a ‘Science Project Making Activity’ where in students of classes I to VIII showed their skills by making different working models and non-working models from the waste material found in the school.

The topics covered were Water cycle, Drone, Drill machine, Water fountain, Lightning Conductor, Electricity generation with the help of windmill and water energy. They also made Bio- models showing respiratory system, functioning of lungs and heart under the observation of teachers. Students made various models on “Rain Water Harvesting” for the conservation of water in future.  

The overall activity was very useful, educative and innovative.The participating students, teachers and the Principal Ma’am were really impressed to see the hidden talent of the students.

The activity finally got concluded by the short and motivating speech of the Honorable Principal Ma’am Mrs. Aruna Suresh

Students of S.R Global School performed excellently in various Olympiads conducted by SOF (2019-20).

Somya Choudhary of Class –III has achieved Zonal Rank 8 in National Science Olympiad for which she has been given medal of distinction.   

 Olympiads motivate students to endeavor for better and deeper understanding of scientific facts so as to enhance their reasoning, analytical and problem solving skills. The students were felicitated by Honorable Principal Ma’am Mrs. Aruna Suresh with medals and certificates of IGKO (General knowledge), IEO (English Olympiad) and NSO (Science Olympiad).

“Success isn’t given. It’s earned. On the track, on the field, in the gym. With blood, sweat and the occasional tears”.

Apart from teaching good values such as, sportsmanship, proper spirit of competition, team-spirit, co-operation, discipline in the field, etc. Annual Sports Day makes school life lively, interesting, enjoyable and memorable. The much awaited Annual Sports Day was held in SR Global School on Sunday, 16^th Feb 2020 with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere.

The programme began with the Principal Mrs. Aruna Suresh welcoming the esteemed gathering and emphasized on the importance of sports in a child's life. The chief guest, Mr Megh Chand Meena (Retired Additional IPS)and Principal Madam Mrs.Aruna Suresh, inaugurated the sports day by releasing the balloons, also took the salute of the impressive March Past and the Guard of Honor of the torch bearers, coupled with some stirring marching music by the band. This was the highly competitive event where the four houses Concurrence, Radiance, Valour and Splendor eyed for the first place. The displays made way for the highly awaited athletic events where competitiveness among the students soared through the roof.

The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way. They participated in large numbers in engaging and innovative races become a leader race, magician race, santa race, slow cycling race, zig zag race, lemon &spoon race, three legged race, fill the bottle race, balancing the pots, and many more races mesmerizing the audience with their energetic performances. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes.

Students of different classes competed in events including sprints, relays, sack race, Hurdle race, and skipping race. Fun time with parents, teaching and non-teaching staff added to the enjoyment. The Cock House trophy was announced and the rolling trophy was given to the winning house Splender House.

STRESS MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP

STRESS MANAGEMENT

On the day of the release of Admit cards to 10^th and 12^th students a session on tips to appear for X and XII CBSE Board  was shared by Principal Madam Mrs. Aruna Suresh which was followed by Stress management workshop was organized in SR Global School.

Stress is something that is a part of all of our lives. It is impossible to totally avoid stress. Specific reactions to stress vary from person to person. Keeping this in mind an NLP session was organized in SR Global School on 10^th Feb 2020 by Mr.Vikram Singh Rathore, for both parents and children of classes 10th and 12th. It was based on common day- to–day parenting challenges related to specific subjects that both parent and children are facing. It involved learning some of the basic technique that can really influence the way parent and child relate to one another. The main focus was on creating quality relationships in families and to try the level best to make a child stress free from the burden of examination. It also helped to learn technique  that will enable students to face their own examination facts. The session was concluded with th song “HUM HONGE KAMIYAB EK DIN”.

10^th feb, 2020, Monday was an auspicious day for SR Global school where HAVAN Ceremony was organized to seek the divine blessings of the almighty for the students appearing in class 10th &12th board examinations. Teachers, parents  and students participated in the havan with utmost respect and devotion. Students were welcomed by teachers and applied Tilak. Honorable Principal Madam Mrs Aruna Suresh extended her best wishes to students for their upcoming board exams, she gave the confidence and motivation to believe in themselves and do their best without any nervousness. The Havan ceremony was performed religiously under the divine fervor and spirituality. Prasad was distributed at the end.

Today, 8th Feb 2020 S R Global   School celebrated the sendoff party to the 12th class students in the morning where in vibrant cultural programmes were organized which consisted of music, dance and drama which was greatly enjoyed by all the students of 12^th class (outgoing) and the 11^th class (Host).  School was well decorated and creating a vibrant ambience.

It was a very heart touching moment when the outgoing students shared their memorable moments spent in the school with their teachers, comrade students and with the school ambience.

Parth Gupta, Ishita Sharma and Anshika  Meena shared the joy of their journey with everyone.

All the outgoing students were given appropriate titles and also presented mementos by the honorable Principal Madam.

On the basis of sincerity, regularity, dedication, honesty towards studies and obedience Miss SRG and Master SRG titles were honored by the principal madam to Cheshta soni and Shafi Ullah Khan respectively.      

Finally principal of the school Madam Mrs Aruna Suresh blessed all the outgoing students with wise words.

Then finally the event was concluded with Jam  session  a lunch which was shared and enjoyed by all with the backdrop lavish music.
